The Honeymoon

Well I wanted to share some more of the fun things that we did while we were there in the East on our honeymoon. We ended up going to Salem, Massachusettes and experienced some of the things they had that pertained to the Salem Witch Trials that happened in the 1600's. We got to go to a cemetary that is the second oldest cemetary and learned some interesting things about the people during the time of the Trials who were buried in the cemetary. Then we got to meet a woman who considers herself a witch and see her cast a spell. That was a little too weird for me, but whatever floats her boat. We got to go to the Witch Museum and get the timeline of the Witch Trials and then got a little tour about the timeline of Witches and how they have come about. Now the fasination with the Salem Witch Trials is that I learned about them in 10th grade and have thought about them ever since. We got to go to Boston, Mass and saw the Old State House where the Constitution was first read. Stephen was in heaven, he loves politics. We drove through 3 states one of the days, from New Hampshire to Massachuesettes to New Hampshire to Maine back to New Hampshire. We had baby back ribs and as strange as it may seem it was the very first time that I have ever had these and they were so delicious. I am recommending them to everyone, all who eat meat any way. The very last day we went to the beach and just lounged the day away. It was nice! Just relax and jump some waves, lay in the sand, watch the people. All the great atmospheres of the beach. Okay so Stephen and I went out and did some fun things in Maine before we got married. To recap and then show some pics. We went to a lighthouse called Nubble Lighthouse and went down by the beach to watch the waves. We went to another beach that we could actually walk in the water and the Atlantic is FREEZING! Oh, my goodness. While there we found a bigger sand dollar, a smaller sand dollar, and a rock that looked like a heart. I saw a real star fish for the first time ever, which was fun for me. We went to a beautiful little garden area and then sat by a ports mouth with all the boats, and the town was actually called 'Portsmouth.' We got rained on and had to seek shelter. It was funny. We went to a beach and actually got into the water and went swimming, or more like jumped some waves. We got to see some awesome fireworks after walking what felt like 10 million miles to get there. We saw a 1700lb chocolate moose with baby cubs, got some of the best salt water taffy, tried seafood like, Haddock, lobster tail, lobster roll, and shrimp. I had tried shrimp before. But other than that the other seafood was all new. It was delicious. I miss the seafood so much. The lobster roll is a hot dog bun and instead of a hot dog it is lobster meat. Oh, so good. Over all we had a great time in Maine. The new experiences and the atmosphere, the culture was all fun to see and learn. It seems so many people in Maine love to walk, they love to just talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, they love to just be active and play and be walking and playing and talking and it all seemed so different than AZ. It was nice and pleasant. The other thing was everyone ate ice cream. I was introduced to the Famous and I mean "Famous Brown's Old Fashioned ice cream" and it was too die for. It was sooooooo good. It was also kind of fun since it was 'Brown's' and now that being my last name we had to like it! No, it was really good regardless of the name of the place. Oh I miss Maine. It was definitlley a place that I want to go back to and somewhere I would suggest for anyone to go and visit.

Back in Time Some...

Going back in time just a little bit Stephen and I went out on a couple of fun day trips in our dating days. We went to Sedona, AZ a couple times and we went to Jerome, AZ one time. It was quite enjoyable. Both very different places, but still very relaxing and enjoyable! Hope you enjoy the pics.

The beginning!!! :)

Stephen and I first met at our work, Ameripsych. Which is the company he is currently still working for. In June of 2006 we began talking on the phone and having short conversations that were a little more than just work related. The conversations gradually increased in time and staying up late at nights not wanting to get off the phone! You know...well then we started to go out on Friday nights. We went out to dinner every Friday for a couple of months and then it became more frequent to hang out in the middle of the week and it was by March of 2007 that we were full on dating. We had so much fun together. It was so easy to talk to him. He was understanding, and caring, and listened. He shared things about himself, I shared about myself. We laughed and joked. We just liked to be with each other and liked how it felt to be arount each other. We talked about everything, we watched a variety of movies, we went to some art shows, we made suckers, we made meals, we went to movies, we went shopping, we went to his band shows, we played board games, and on and on and on. We had so much fun together and it was definitly moving in the direction of marriage. Now Stephen loves to write and is great at it. Now to make sense of this, for his birthday and Christmas I had made him a book with pictures and a scrapbook page. It just told a story of the things I loved about him. So when he proposed to me, he made me a book, similar to what I had done for him. He had taken pictures of me and of us and then wrote about what he saw from the pictures. I cried through nearly the whole thing since he is such a sweetheart and writes so well just said in such beautiful words how he felt about me. I loved the book also, as he attempted to use my scrapbook supplies and make cute pages within the book. Oh how much cuter can you get! :) So, we were engaged on May 4th. Now, this summer I have had some health concerncs related to stress and because of that we ended up deciding that rather than a full on wedding we would go to Maine and elope. Then have a celebration back in AZ in August when we were originally going to get married. So over the 4th of July weekend we went to Maine, which is where he is from, and got married there. Now we are married and we love it. We are happy and having so much fun! We are looking forward to the celebration in August and excited to have family and friends and lots of fun! :)
